About Me

Mr. Lyle has 20 years of laboratory experience. He is currently a Quality Assurance Officer with the Texas Department of State Health Services – Laboratory Services Section where he oversees the QA programs for the Clinical Bacteriology, Consumer Microbiology (food, water, and milk testing), and DNA Analysis laboratories. In this position he led the development and implementation of a consolidated Quality Management System covering the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, TNI, and CAP/CLIA. Prior to this position he was a QA Chemist with Signature Science, LLC from 2013-2019, where he represented client laboratories in over 25 A2LA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation audits, performed over 75 contracted third-party ISO/IEC 17025 internal audits, and served as the lead trainer for over 20 three-day ISO/IEC 17025 training courses. Additionally, he served as the Project Manager for an ISO/IEC 17043 accredited proficiency testing program. Mr. Lyle also has extensive experience working in chemical and biological defense laboratories and spent nine years working in a military testing laboratory as part of the National Guard Bureau’s Civil Support Team Program. Mr. Lyle’s primary areas of scientific expertise include analytical chemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology. He has a BS in Biochemistry from New Mexico State University, an MBA from the University of Nebraska, and is a Certified Quality Auditor with the American Society for Quality (Certificate #: 46655). Mr. Lyle also serves as a Technical Assessor for the A2LA accreditation body.
